One of the DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management's (DWM) highest
priorities is to prevent and minimize wastewater overflows. In an effort to do this, the DWM routinely performs sanitary sewer line
easement clearings throughout the county. Easement clearing projects consist of tree cutting and removal with brush and vegetation
clearing. The objective of clearing projects is to ensure safe access for inspecting, rehabilitating, maintaining, and repairing the
existing sanitary sewer system.
In the upcoming weeks, Casey Tree Experts crews will be in your area to provide sewer easement vegetation maintenance for DeKalb County
Deparmtent of Watershed Management. This project will last for approximately 49 days and will begin on Monday, March 21, 2011. Door
hangers have been placed in the affected neighborhoods detailing what citizens can expect during this project.
